Mini Residential Boat Camp - with Challenge Wales

Subsidised places are available, this Easter for a mini-residential experience for those aged 18 - 25 years who want to develop teamwork skills, learn about sailing, develop confidence, have fun and meet new people.

If you are looking for something different and fun to do this Easter then you might have just found it!

Join us on Saturday 30th March  for a 2-day mini residential voyage for young adults onboard the sail training vessel; Challenge Wales | Wales' Tall Ship. Your activity will finish late afternoon on Sunday 31st March.

This open access voyage is suitable for young people to join on their own. Sailing on Challenge Wales requires NO Sailing Experience and will help to develop self-confidence, will get everyone working as a team to develop teamwork and communication skills and will be about meeting new people. Those onboard will start to learn about sailing and ocean literacy (and the environment) while having lots of fun.

Waterproof trousers/jackets are provided, lifejackets are provided, all food/refreshments while sailing is provided (please note dietary requirements must be advised in advance with booking paperwork). Everyone will get involved with all aspects of sailing the boat, from hoisting the sails to helming (steering) and being an important crew member. Our Challenge Wales crew are there to help be positive role models and help all participants get the most out of the day.

Voyage starts and finishes in Penarth Marina and is a 2 day experience.

The cost for the Boat Camp Day Voyage is £45* per person and can include free Agored Cymru accreditation in Teamwork.

Standard booking terms and conditions apply. **Full price is £150 but thanks to a funder who is supporting this voyage the cost is £45. Up to 8 places are available on each voyage. If you do not require the bursary funding then you can pay any amount from the advertised cost of £45 to the full price of £100 and the unallocated bursary will be passed onto someone else. Agored Cymru accreditation is free of charge which includes registration fee, certificate and one online workbook session post-voyage.
