Judie McCourt reveals the winning Penarth postcode in the People's Postcode Lottery

Two households in Penarth have won £30,000 in the People's Postcode Lottery.

A subscription lottery that raises money for charities, the postcode CF64 2TH was drawn, resulting in two neighbours in the Hastings Close area each winning the prize.

Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt has congratulated the Penarth winners, who wish to remain anonymous.

Players sign up with their postcode and pay £10 per month. They are automatically entered into every draw and prizes are announced every day of the month.

A total of 33% of the ticket price goes to charities, which include the Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and Global Witness.

There are 1,500,000 postcodes across Wales, Scotland and England and 1,000 of these are picked for the weekly £10 draw.

Every Saturday and Sunday, winning postcodes are announced where players each win £30,000.

Each month, players in one postcode sector share £3 million or more.
