The Moorwell development in Penarth has been completed after a long process of building and refurbishment works and now the apartments are all available to purchase.

The apartment block has 12 one and two-bedroom apartments available which have been separated into four individual styles.

RPA Ltd and Intelle Construction who worked on the project announced the completion of the "stunning development".

Each of the apartment styles is named after a person with historic connections to this familiar local landmark.

As the proprietors of Sadler Bros Ltd, Stanley worked with his brother, E. Aubrey Sadler, running a successful business from the premises throughout the 1930s. During the Second World War, the building was used as an auxiliary workshop. Initially, only a single level, the second storey and recognisable facade were added during this period before ownership changed hands and it became Moorwell Motors in the early 1950s.

Ben Wells, Director of Project Three Developments, explains their decision to call back to the legacy of the building: ''With nearly 100 years of history to consider and such a distinct architectural style that lends character, we have incorporated these integral figures into our vision for the new development, naming the homes after them. Our aim is to restore beauty to what has been left unloved in recent years, allowing residents and locals to enjoy it once more."

You can have a more in-depth look at the apartments on Jeffrey Ross' website here, where they are being sold.

Prices range between £250,000 for a one-bed and £399,950 for a two-bed, two bathroom apartment.

The Penthouse sits at £599,950 which is currently under offer.

Information on the planning application and details of the original building can be found in our article here.

The 24-hour gym, which will be situated on the ground floor, will remain closed as coronavirus restrictions put progression on hold.
