Current scientific research is increasing our understanding of the link between what we eat and how we feel. If you are interested in knowing more about how food impacts on our bodies and minds and even on our spiritual connections, then join us for what is sure to be a fascinating evening.

Gerrie Hughes is a psychotherapist and writer who engages each of these occupations in her long personal search to understand what it means to be human. Food and Mental Health: a guide for health professionals is an invitation for each of us to become our own and our families' food and mental health 'professional'. It is also an exploration of personal and societal relationships with food that is particularly timely, as world events are forcing us to re-consider how we nourish ourselves now, and the food legacy we will pass on to future generations. Gerrie lives and works in Penarth. Cover image and illustrations in the book are by Liz Hammond.

As this is a book about food, of course, there will be nibbles and drinks to enliven the conversation.
