Senior Full Stack Web DeveloperLocation: Central CardiffSalary: 50-60K plus excellent benefits packageMain Purpose of the RoleAs a Senior Full Stack Web Developer, you will be instrumental in evolving our clients digital platforms.

This includes leading end-to-end development projects, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating across departments to deliver robust, scalable web solutions.

You will also contribute to strategic growth initiatives by optimising systems and adopting innovative technologies.Role and ResponsibilitiesDevelopment Duties- Lead and develop high-quality web applications using Symfony,Vue.js, Craft CMS, and MySQL.- Take ownership of full project life cycles from concept and designto implementation and delivery.- Drive the technical direction of larger initiatives while providingguidance to less experienced developers.- Work closely with stakeholders and product teams to plan, build, andintegrate new platform features.- Conduct code reviews, ensuring alignment with best practices andconsistent coding standards.- Enhance and future-proof our technical infrastructure through stackmodernisation and process optimisation.- Quickly resolve bugs and technical challenges to ensure reliabilityand system uptime.- Utilise tools like Webpack, Composer, and NPM to improve developmentworkflows.- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation to support teamcollaboration and knowledge sharing.General Responsibilities- Ensure ongoing compliance with all internal policies and procedures.- Contribute actively to team meetings, workshops, and trainingopportunities.- Carry out additional duties aligned to the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

Key RequirementsEssential Skills and Experience- Extensive full-stack development experience, particularly withSymfony or similar PHP frameworks and Vue.js or comparableJavaScript libraries.- Strong command of HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and MySQL for buildingperformant web applications.- Proficient with version control systems, especially GIT.- Demonstrated experience integrating and working with APIs andpackage managers such as Composer and NPM.- Ability to work with and modernise legacy codebases.- Skilled in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimising systemperformance.- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, particularly indeveloping junior team members.- Excellent organisational and time management skills.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written andverbal.- High attention to detail with a strong focus on code quality andmaintainability.- Proactive and adaptable, with a can-do attitude and drive forcontinuous improvement.- Demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in theworkplace.- Sound awareness of company policies, health and safety requirements,and relevant legislation.Desirable Skills and Experience- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.- Experience using automated testing frameworks.- Background knowledge of the home-buying, moving, or propertysectors.- Relevant certifications in software development or related fields.
