Azure DevOps Engineer - Up to £65,000 | Hybrid (3 Days Cardiff) | Permanent
My client a leader in their field are on the lookout for an Azure DevOps engineer to join their expanding team. The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in enhancing the software delivery life cycle across all the businesses applications. This position focuses on improving development workflows and streamlining release processes to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
In addition, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing application environments, including the creation and maintenance of both Production and non-Production environments. The role also involves deploying application updates and configuration changes across the businsses international landscape, adhering to structured change and release management protocols.
This is a hands-on position involving installations, configuration adjustments, deployments, and issue resolution. Embracing a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and prototyping is essential, and the DevOps Engineer will be expected to champion these core DevOps principles.
The Role:-Install, deploy, and configure .NET applications and other web-based solutions.
Manage databases, permissions, backups, and SQL script deployments using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
Execute environment deployments in a structured manner, progressing through DEV, TEST, and PRD environments based on approvals and release note guidelines.
Set up and manage Servers using virtualization platforms such as VMware, including performance tuning and monitoring.
Install and configure third-party and bespoke applications, including but not limited to Microsoft BizTalk, Dynamics CRM, and Pega.
Create and maintain comprehensive deployment and troubleshooting documentation, covering installation and configuration procedures.
Experience with package management solutions such as CloudSmith or JFrog Artifactory.
- Strong Azure cloud experience
Proficient in containerization technologies, including Minikube, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Hands-on involvement in CI/CD pipelines, ideally incorporating SAST and SCA code analysis for security and compliance.
Familiarity with a broad range of DevOps tools and platforms, including Git repositories, Azure DevOps, Azure, GitHub, GitHub Actions, AWS CI/CD services, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Terraform, and Ansible.
Hybrid: 3 days per week in their Cardiffoffice, rest remote
