Penarth Healthcare Partnership addresses vaccination complaints
The Penarth Healthcare Partnership (PHP) on Stanwell Road has addressed complaints over some members of the over-75 cohort not yet receiving an appointment time.
Members of the public have complained to Nub News that they or someone close to them has not been contacted by their GP to arrange an appointment to receive the first round of the vaccine.
'Dora the Explorer' lifeboat arrives in Penarth
Relief lifeboat RNLB Dora Foster McDougal in Penarth Marina, taking up station while Barry Dock's regular boat goes for service. She will be berthed in Penarth due to dredging works at Barry Harbour.
Travelling all round the UK as a relief boat she is affectionately known as Dora the Explorer.
The Crêpe Escape is crowdfunding for NHS treat boxes
The popular Glebe Street crêperie The Crêpe Escape has launched a crowdfunding campaign to supply NHS frontline staff with treat boxes to "make their day a little lighter".
The owner, Alison Jones, says she hopes to raise £500 to help fund the scheme that started last week. They have so far raised £370, or 74% of their target.
Husband and wife classical duo return with live streamed Valentine's Day performance
Penarth Music Chamber Festival is holding its twelfth socially-distanced live streamed performance this weekend to satiate the ears of the town's concert-deprived classical music fans.
The collective - comprised of husband and wife David Adams (leader of the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera) and Alice Neary (principal cellist of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales) and a host of other world class musicians - has been forced onto YouTube and Penarth Sounds throughout 2020 due to COVID-19.

Then joining Penarth Youth Action may be for you! Penarth Youth Action (PYA), the youth council for Penarth, is currently recruiting new members from local secondary schools and youth organisations. Newly planted trees at Wordsworth Park vandalised The newly planted trees at Wordsworth Park have been vandalised. Two of the three new trees have had the tops sawn off. The Vale of Glamorgan Council planted the trees less than two weeks ago as part of a scheme to improve biodiversity and help tackle the climate emergency.
