Role - Head of System Development

Location - Cardiff

Salary - £120k

Based out of Cardiff my client is in the search for a Head of Systems Development to collaborate closely with the COO and spearhead their dynamic development team. Comprised of talented front and Back-end developers, testers, DevOps engineers and data Scientists you'll be at the helm of innovation, driving projects forward.

As the Head of Systems Development, you'll be instrumental in shaping strategy and ensuring seamless delivery. Your expertise will span across infrastructure, operations, and data architecture, harnessing the power of modern development technologies to build rapid deploy, automated scaling, high-volume distributed systems.

Key responsibilities will include to lead the evolution of an existing on prem system alongside a dedicated team, whilst crating stable, secure, and scalable platforms, drawing on your wealth of experience in product evolution.

You'll be responsible for defining and implementing development strategies across cross-functional teams, fostering the creation of top-tier scalable systems, and demonstrate a keen interest in cutting-edge technology, tackling complex issues whilst adhering to best practices, and mentoring team members to foster growth and retention.

Tech stack being used:

Java, Angular, C#, Unity, Docker, JiraMariaDB (GREAT TO HAVE) RabbitMQ for message Queueing and Microservices architecture.
