You will be a key part of our Centre of Excellence team working alongside our offices in London, Leeds, and the US.Proxima is an established and leading management consulting firm specialising in Procurement & Supply Chain. With our 25 years of great delivery experience, we help the world's leading brands to solve problems - reducing their spend, increasing cost savings, and optimising their procurement strategy.Responsibilities of the Data SpecialistUtilise data expertise to add value to clients along the procurement lifecycleCraft effective data solutions for client and project teams, and delivering consistently excellent client outputIdentify procurement cost-saving and optimisation opportunities by analysing complex client spend dataCreate scenario-based tools and scorecards for consultants to compare cost-saving and optimisation opportunities for clientsCreate data visualisation tools, bringing client data to life and telling a compelling storyCollate, transform and visualise client dataAlongside Client work, own and drive internal data projects to improve Proxima's data capability and offering to clientsProvide coaching and guiding to colleagues, ensuring robust output qualitySharing knowledge and experience, driving innovation for clients and within the Centre of Excellence teamBuild credible relationships with Proxima client engagement teams and the wider Proxima business, becoming a trusted data advisorContribute to management and resourcing of the Data Analytics teamCriteria for the Data Specialist positionExcellent knowledge of and robust experience with Excel, SQL and PowerBI to transform large datasets into visualised outputAble to quickly make sense of unorthodox client data and advise on project direction from a technical perspectiveAble to carve out data requirements in a procurement setting and drive data projects to fruition, proactively challenging, identifying risks and managing expectationsExperience of proactively working with a range of stakeholders to problem solve and find workable solutionsEnjoys bringing data to life, building and relaying a compelling a story with dataThrives under pressure, leans into ambiguous requirements and able to spin multiple plates and projectsA well-seasoned communicator and collaborator, track record of building relationships, credibility and trust within an organisationExperience of explaining data to non-technical stakeholdersProactively seeks out constructive feedback and drives continuous improvement in self and within a teamExperience in coaching, guiding and mentoring colleagues, and providing developmental feedbackExperience within a procurement & supply-chain setting is desirable but not essentialBenefits of becoming a Data Specialist at ProximaHybrid and flexible working modelDefined career progressionMentorship programContinuous training25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays (with the option to purchase five more)Great company cultureand more!If you believe yourself to be a great fit for this Data Specialist role, please apply!Proxima is an equal opportunities employer and we actively promote an environment that harnesses diversity in the workplace.
