Finance Officer Cardiff

With a rich history and a commitment to innovation, this organisation plays a crucial role in connecting people and places.Your new role:As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the financial operations of the organisation. Your duties will include:

  • Preparing financial statements
  • Conducting ad hoc financial analysis
  • Ensure the maintenance of the finance system and ensuring that all data inputted is accurate and completed in a timely manner
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Reconciliations of supplier statements
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • You will work closely with various departments and be expected to build strong relationships with external stakeholders.
  • What You'll Need:
    • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Qualified in or studying for a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, AAT) is desired but not essential
    • Proven experience in a finance role, ideally within the transport or public sector.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
