7 Year Old Zak Drums Up Support for the NHS During Clap for Our Carers

Every Thursday during the clap for our carers movement, Zak Speirs, a 7-year-old Penarth resident brings his drum kit out to cheer on the workers on the frontline of the battle against COVID-19.

Last week he even brought his electric guitar to the street and rocked out in style to show his support for the fight against coronavirus.

Nub News asked Zak what inspired him to do this every week and he said: ''I want to make as much noise as possible so all of the NHS can hear us in the hospitals or wherever they are.

''I want to thank them for all the hard work they are doing to save people and to stop the spread of Corona.''

Zak has also been helping out at his family business, the Crepe Escape, to deliver delicious treats to key workers throughout the local area.

We applaud you for all of your amazing efforts Zak.

Penarth Nub News would like to remind residents that at 8 pm this evening the local area will join the rest of the UK by putting their hands, saucepans, and any other loud equivalent, together to show support for the NHS.
