UPDATE: Vale of Glamorgan Local Elections 2022 – latest news
We will be bringing you updates throughout the day of the Vale of Glamorgan Election count.
The count will take place at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry.
Verification of results will begin at approximately 12:00. Counting county ballot papers will start at around 13:00 and the declaration of results will be at 14:30.
A total of 54 councillors will be elected across 24 wards in this election.
Timeline
09:00 – Memo Arts Centre will open to candidates, agents, and the media.
11:26 - Verification stage expected to continue until midday.
13:14: Overall turnout is 42.89% | Eligible voters: 103,856 | Voters: 44,557
13:53: George Carroll, leader of the Vale Conservative Group, keeps seat in Llandough ward (720).
