The Vale council have today announced that they will be extending parking permits that have expired after the 1st of January 2020.

They will be unable to issue new parking permits until further notice.

Prioritisation around council services has been necessary as they find themselves under pressure with staff absences and the other impacts of coronavirus.

They said: ''We are unable to issue any new parking permits until further notice. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

''Expired parking permits (after 01 January 2020), which have not yet been renewed, are now valid until 01 September 2020.''
