TV reporter proves a hot ticket in Penarth

An evening featuring the BBC's Middle East Editor Jeremy Bowen in Penarth next week has proved so popular that tickets have sold out.

At the event at All Saints Church next Tuesday (11 October) Mr Bowen will be interviewed about his new book, The Making of the Modern Middle East, by fellow BBC News & Current Affairs Correspondent, Wyre Davies.

Jeremy Bowen is the BBC's International Editor. He has reported from more than seventy countries, covering 13 wars including those in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Chechnya, Somalia, the Middle East, Rwanda and former Yugoslavia. His most recent posting has been covering the war in Ukraine.

His new book, The Making of the Modern Middle East, is a vivid and authoritative account of the making of the modern Middle East, from the BBC's long-serving correspondent in the region.
