Tattoo Parlour Could be Coming to Penarth

A planning application has been submitted to change part of the former Royal British Legion club, at Penarth's Station Approach, into a tattoo parlour.

The proposals apply to an adaptation of the first floor of the building from its current office use to a tattoo parlour.

The setting is in the retail centre for Penarth and is right next to one of the town's three train stations.

It would be situated next to the popular Bottle Shop which is at the ground floor level, fronting Station Approach.

Thus, the application states that it will not physically affect the site frontage.

The application also states: ''The tattoo parlour will ensure employment opportunities within the locality and will further contribute to the viability and vitality of this area of Penarth's retail centre.

''Tattoo work is highly skilled with the industry robustly regulated, proposals will contribute to the amenity of the area whilst ensuring no adverse impacts in terms of noise, traffic congestion and parking.''

It is not yet clear which tattoo parlour is looking to move onto the site but the applicant had already passed a planning application to turn the ground floor and basement of the building into office space, which was approved in 2019.

The second floor is also in use as an office space.
