Willmore's 1938, a cafe situated in the heart of Penarth on Stanwell Road, is pairing up with Penarth RFC to provide locals with a lip-smacking burger night next Wednesday.

Their hopes are that this will lead to more work with other local businesses and groups in a collaborative way.

They have done a lot of work with Griffin Bookshop and recently cooked up a storm for the Dirty Vegan Cookbook event, hosted at the Penarth Pier Pavilion, using one of Matt Pritchard's own recipes.

The burger event also hopes to boost Penarth RFC and the club.

There will be a meat and vegetarian option (£8.95) available as well as a children's alternative (£4.95). All of the burgers will be served with fries and a 'help yourself' salad bar.

Penarth RFC made a statement about the night. It said: ''Proud to announce the first of many planned events in partnership with Willmore's 1938. A homemade gourmet burger night at the club. Come and support this great initiative.''

Food is served from 7 pm and there will be discounts available on the bar.

So for local food, in a local sports club, you know where you need to be Wednesday 12th February.
