Storm Jorge: Penarth Train Cancellations Continue This Saturday

UPDATE: 12:10 - Transport For Wales has said the lines are reopen but passengers should expect delays as services start up again.
"Following heavy rain flooding the railway between Rhymney and Penarth the line has now reopened.
"Train services running to and from these stations are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled. Disruption is expected until 12:30 29/02."
———————— Transport for Wales has updated Penarth train users this Saturday as the effects of Storm Jorge continue to cause disruption across rail networks. TFW made a statement that said: ''Cancellations to services between Rhymney and Penarth. Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Rhymney and Penarth the line is blocked. ''Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled. Disruption is expected until the end of the day. ''There will be no replacement road transport. Ticket acceptance is in place with Cardiff Bus.'' More widely the Vale of Glamorgan line is also closed due to flooding but TFW are currently trying to source rail replacement options.
