The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice over Penarth and other parts of Wales.

Minus temperatures are expected, with lows of 0ºC in Penarth on Saturday morning.

Icy stretches are likely to form, which could lead to travel disruptions and snow falling in some places.

The warning is in place until Sunday evening.

The Met Office advises caution when travelling in these conditions.

Conditions will likely include icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries.

Some roads and railways are likely to be affected by snowfall, with longer journey times by car, as well as bus and train services.
