Details of a body found in woodland near Cosmeston Lakes between Penarth and Sully have been passed to the coroner.

Police have confirmed the discovery of a woman's body earlier this week at the local beauty spot and have said they are not treating it as a suspicious death.

A statement from the South Wales force says: "At approximately 7am yesterday (Wednesday, September 7), police were called following the discovery of a woman's body in Cosmeston Country Park. The woman's death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the HM Coroner."
