Lifeboats launched in search for distressed person

Penarth Lifeboat crews were called into action last night (Wednesday, 7 September) to assist other emergency services i a search for a person reported to be in distress.

Both the station's boats were launched around 9.30pm after an alarm was raised by the Welsh ambulance Service.

However, both crews were stood down when the person was found safe and well by police.
