A community group is holding another Plant & Cake Sale on Saturday, May 7 at St Augustine's Church in Penarth.

The St Augustine's Churchyard Group also held a sale in April which raised £590 to buy fuel and new tools, with the rest going to church funds.

There will be plenty of bedding plants, annuals for pots and tubs, shrubs and perennials, vegetable seedlings and some fruit bush offsets. Inside the church will be homemade cakes and tea & coffee.

Everyone is welcome to this free event – sit outside and enjoy the great view, or wander around the churchyard and see the display of bluebells. If you have some plants to donate, please bring them early on the day.

The group hopes to be equally successful this time and will have more plants, most of which are home-grown.

The sale will start at 10:00 - 12:00.
