Today we have launched our Penarth weekend briefing. From weather to events we have created a handy guide to make the most of your time off work.

Storm Dennis might be hitting this weekend but there is still lots to enjoy in and outdoors in Penarth.

Storm Dennis hits this weekend with a yellow weather warning for wind and rain throughout Penarth. An unsettled day ahead with heavy rain and gales, sometimes severe, across the region. There could be heavy downpours at times, with hail and thunder a possibility. Maximum temperature 12 °C. Staying very windy on Sunday, but somewhat drier with sunshine and showers.

A Spectacular Evening with Ceri Dupree at the Paget Rooms:

The Uk's leading female impersonator. Ceri Dupree has been delighting audiences worldwide for over 35 years. His unique talents have led him through musical theatre, pantomime, summer seasons, television and cabaret. There isn't an audience (age or type!!!) that he hasn't played to. £12.00. 7:30 pm.

Bramble Scramble 2 at Victoria Square:

January's Bramble Scramble was such a success, we've planned another one! Another little area of the square on the East side has been chosen for us to tidy up ready for spring! Please come and help if you can. It doesn't need to be for the full two hours, just 30 mins of your time would be great. Like last time, bring your own tools if you can, we'll have a few on-site too and a man with a van to take the brambles away. 10 am - 12 pm.

Cake Sale at Penarth Library:

Friends of Penarth Library. Cake Sale. Saturday 15th February. 10.00 - 1.00. Proceeds help support your library!

Barry and the Mumblers at the Albion:

Rock n pop how it should be played. 9 pm.

Saturday 15th February - Live Music - The Shivvers at the Windsor:

Live music from 9 pm.

Multimedia Art Exhibition - Our brains are amazing. They are complex and divine. They are tangible and transcendent. They are the source of all thought and action. They regulate our heartbeat and make it skip a beat, they fire our imaginations and let us build what we dream; they trigger our beliefs and allow us to speak them aloud. The Hearth Gallery is located in the University Hospital Llandough's main plaza entrance and is open daily between 9 am and 8 pm.

Pub Crawl Saturdays at The Bear's Head:

Looking for a FREE local pub crawl event? Look no further. WHO Our attendees come from all walks of life and all share a passion for pub crawls. WHY Why not? WHERE We meet at the right-hand side of the main bar. WHEN We meet every Saturday of course. Get there between 7 pm and 7.30 pm. The crawl finishes whenever... WHAT There is no agenda. Order your first drink, discuss where to head off next and let the night unfold. COST It's 100% free and always will be. DRESS CODE Because it's an unmanned event wear something purple. When you see someone wearing purple at the right-hand side of the main bar say "Hello!" RULES Be courteous and wear something purple. That's it. ATTEND If you want to attend you have to reserve your free ticket for every attendee.

Lego Club at Penarth Library:

Come along and use the Library's Lego pieces to either build what you would like or pick one of our challenges. Places are limited and tickets are £1 per child. 2 pm.

Alexandra's Enchanted Garden:

COME AND DISCOVER THE PARK THAT COMES TO LIFE AT NIGHT. Alexandra's Enchanted Garden will take you on a magical journey through the park that has been brought to life after dusk. The winding paths of the park will reveal a series of installations, lighting displays and soundscapes, creating memories you will never forget! Book your tickets and time slots online.

SUNDAY:

Sunday Wine Club at the Bottle Shop:

If you, like us, love trying new wines and drinking on a Sunday then why not join our SUNDAY WINE CLUB. Join a group of wine lovers and enjoy 2 hours of corkage-free wine drinking fun! People will gather between 2 pm and 4 pm to pick and share different bottles of wine, share notes and just spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon with a group of lovely people. No prior wine knowledge necessary! Rule number one of Sunday Wine Club is tell everyone about Sunday Wine Club. The more the merrier.
