Penarth Town Council announced today that an event they had planned to screen tomorrow has been cancelled due to bad weather damaging their equipment.

The council updated residents in a statement: ''Unfortunately, tomorrow's screening of Cyrano De Bergerac at the Paget Rooms [20th of February 2020] has been cancelled.

''This is due to damage sustained to our live screening equipment by recent bad weather.

''If you have booked tickets online, or by telephone with TicketSource, we have already processed your refund for the value of the tickets and booking fee and you will receive separate email notification of the refund.

''If you have booked and paid by any other payment method your refund will be issued within 1 week of today's date.

''We want to extend our apologies to everyone who purchased tickets for the event.
