Keyif restaurant in Penarth has battled against the challenging environment of coronavirus and remained open for business throughout lockdown to provide their Turkish Mediterranean cuisine to residents.

They were quick to act when the government started to advise social distancing and encouraged their regular customers to swap to their takeaway and delivery options before the official lockdown was put in place.

We spoke to the owner of the local eatery about how they've kept going and how the community have supported them through these difficult times.

Mehmet said: ''At Keyif Restaurant we place a great deal of importance on the guest experience.

''Therefore, the current situation has affected our business considerably.

''However, the lovely people of Penarth have been showing their support by sharing our social media posts and tagging their families and friends on making plans to order from our restaurant.

''This is truly a great way of showing their support as a small but strong community during these tough times.''

Keyif means just finding a moment and to quietly live in the moment. We think this is a very fitting sentiment for coping during the coronavirus lockdown.

Keyif is open every day from 12 pm till 10 pm for delivery except for Mondays when they are closed.

Under current government advice, takeaway and delivery services are allowed to operate.
