Art Central will host the Cardiff and Vale college exhibition for the thirteenth year running – but this time with a digital twist.

A virtual exhibition of the students' end-of-year work will be held at Art Central, the Vale of Glamorgan Council's renowned art gallery.

Featuring artwork from Foundation Level Art & Design students, it showcases a variety of media including photography, fine art, graphics and three-dimensional design.

Despite having limited access to resources and mentoring support, the students successfully completed their course via online tutorials.

Cabinet Member for Leisure, Arts and Culture Councillor Kathryn McCaffer said, "We are delighted to have hosted the college's End of Year exhibition for well over a decade now, with this year no exception. Despite the current difficulties, the students have continued with their studies and their hard work deserves recognition.

"Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to support the arts with digital initiatives and are pleased to include the college's work as a part of this."

The exhibition also marked the retirement of fine art tutor Adrian Metcalfe, who has worked closely with the gallery since 2007.
