Penarth Coastguard's were called out with Penarth RNLI to a person in the water at Penarth Pier.

They said: ''Tasked with the RNLI to a person in the water near Penarth Pier.

"Upon arrival casualty was out of the water and in care of

South Wales Police.

"No medical assistance required, all units were stood down and returned to their respective stations."
