Rehearsals and preparations are well underway for the next production by Penarth Operatic and Dramatic Society.

They will be presenting the stage version of the much-loved vintage TV comedy 'The Good Life' at the Paget Rooms in October and the box office is now open.

There will be four shows, on Wednesday, 12; Thursday 13; Friday 14 and Saturay 15 October, all at 7.30pm.

The Society is producing a souvenir programme for the production and is currently looking for a few more local businesses to take adverts within it.

A spokesperson for PODS said: "The programme is a great way to reach a local audience and also to support the work of PODS within the community. Thank you to all those businesses who've already signed up take an advert - we really appreciate your support.

"The programme will be A5 format with 20 pages in full colour throughout. A half page is £30 and a full page is £50. Plus we'll promote your business through our social media pages before and during the production. Please message us via our Facebook page if you would like to be part of The Good Life."

The launch event for The Snow Queen drew a good audience.

Meanwhile plans are also now being laid for the Society's Christmas pantomime production of The Snow Queen that will run from Wednesday, 30 November to Sunday, 4 December . a rcent presentation and open evening attracted new members as well as stalwarts with everyone looking forward to help in the production.
