The Beachcliff Fish and Chip Restaurant, situated on Penarth's Esplanade, has reopened for residents to enjoy their wide range of takeaway options.

The eatery, which only opened in March, was forced to close later on that month due to the challenges posed by the coronavirus.

They are now back in business and ready to fry up a storm with their fish and freshly cut chips whilst adhering to the rules of social distancing.

The owner said: ''We're back open today after closing due to social distancing.

''You can attend the shop to take away as usual or pre-order online to reduce wait times using our new Click and Collect service.

''When you attend the shop to takeaway, there is a queuing system in place to allow for social distancing. Please take note of all signage relating to this on arrival, including pavement markings.

''To Click and Collect, visit our website and click on the menu (please note we are running a more limited menu than usual at the moment).

''We will only fulfil orders placed between the hours of 12 pm and 8 pm so please don't place any outside these times.

''When you place your order online, we will call you to confirm your order and give you a collection time.

''Please do not come to the shop until we have called to confirm. Click and Collect orders will be ready at our kiosk window which serves out onto The Esplanade.

''We are not currently offering a delivery service as this was not viable when we trialled it recently. It is something we hope to look into in future.''
