The Crepe Escape Turns Four Behind Closed Doors

The Crepe Escape in Penarth turned four on Saturday but they were unable to celebrate with their customers due to the coronavirus lockdown.
An award-winning eatery and family-run business, it is no surprise that the Crepe Escape is a local favourite.
In a message to her customers, Alison Jones, the owner said: ''Today is our fourth birthday and what a four years it has been.
''Never would I have thought we would have spent it closed in the middle of a pandemic.
''There have been some amazing highs exhausting, hard work, stressful, fun, joyful and wonderful all at the same time.
''It has been an amazing ride. The team I have are just brilliant and their hard work and dedication are second to none.
''I couldn't have done it without them and I am so proud of what we have achieved so them I thank you.
''Mostly though I want to thank our customers, we wouldn't be here without you. Thank you for the laughter, the fun, the happiness, the beautiful celebrations, the weddings, the baby showers, the birthdays, the festivals to name but a few.
''Meeting you all has been great and watching many of your wonderful children grow up has been a joy.
''Meeting new babies, family parties, celebrations. It has all just been so special.
''I feel we have a lovely little community rather than just a cafe and for that, I thank you from the bottom of. my heart.
''We missing being part of all this at the moment and just hope we will still be here in another four years.
''Thank you so so much and please keep supporting us in these strange and difficult times. You don't know how much it means to us.''
