A Penarth resident sent in images of graffiti which has been sprayed at the bottom of the Belvedere structure which sits on top of Teletubby Hill in Penarth Marina's, Plymouth Park.

You can view the graffiti in the image above, however, we have blurred out the expletives for our readers.

It reads: ''F*** the cops, Black Lives Matter, All Cops Are B*******''.

Similar messages have been repeated up the zig-zag path on Terronava Way.

The graffiti has been sprayed at the base of a piece of public art created by Mac Adam in 1999 which provides a viewpoint across the Bristol Channel from Penarth Haven.

Nub News contacted South Wales Police and the Vale of Glamorgan Council on the incident.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Police in Penarth have been made aware of offensive graffiti.

"This has also been brought to the attention of the local authority and steps are being taken to clear it.

"Graffiti is a real blight on our community and we hope that members of the public can help us to identify those responsible for this damage.

"Anyone with information about graffiti is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

The Vale of Glamorgan Council said: "The Council is aware of this incident and has made arrangements for the graffiti to be removed."
