"A well-meaning false alarm" - RNLI called out to intrepid paddleboarder

RNLI Penarth's volunteer crew launched at 12.30 this afternoon, responding to concerns for a paddle boarder who was spotted moving against the tide in the shipping lane.

"It turned out the paddle boarder was okay, so a well-meaning false alarm," said an RNLI Penarth spokesperson.

"Always best to report if somebody looks like they're struggling.

"At this time we advise contacting Milford Haven Coastguard to let them know if you're going out on the water, and when you return - you can find contact details here:
