Happy Wanderer: A Sunday stroll

By Guest

7th Mar 2021 | Local News

An early walk today, along Sully Road into the back of an almost deserted Cosmeston Park, through Cosmeston Drive to the cliff path and down to the pier before the crowds arrived (sadly the ice cream shop hadn't yet opened!).

It surprises me the number of people who walk or run plugged in to music, missing out on birdsong and the sounds of nature. Can't see the need for it myself.

Some beautiful old houses on Sully Road looking out towards Dinas Powys.

Unfortunately my photos are spoiled by cars or an assortment of bins.

Stopped for a look at St Peter's Church and was surprised by the 21st century headstones in the church yard.

Time for a coffee and cookie in Alexandria Park before heading home.

Just over 10km with plenty of options to increase or decrease that distance.
