A community effort led by the Sully Village Group (SVG) to raise money for those affected by the December floods has raised £9,961 at the time of writing.
The sum combines £8,711 raised by residents via Just Giving, £250 from Dinas Rotary Club and £1,000 from the SVG itself (raised by calendar sales).
Much of it was last night divided between and transferred to 12 residents who live on the most-affected roads - Conybeare Road, Winsford Road, Swanbridge Grove and Highbridge Close.
Donations continue to roll in, with the Saving Sully and Lavernock Group recently donating £500. Fresh funds will be transferred to the applicants in stages.
Hannah Bevmoh, the SVG Chair who started the JustGiving page, says she has been amazed by the response.
"As a community we all felt the fear and devastation over Christmas as we watched flood waters rise and saw them destroy homes via videos and pictures sent to the Sully Village Hub.
"I set the fundraiser up the night it happened and woke up to an incredible response."
The floods tragically came on 23 December, ruining Christmas for those affected across Sully, Dinas Powys, Cogan and Llandough.
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) said the flooding was due to the wettest December for 70 years, but some residents have blamed overdevelopment in the area and the mismanagement of drainage solutions.
NRW, the Vale of Glamorgan Council and Welsh Water have begun a joint investigation into the causes.
Residents are demanding reassurances that it will never happen again, and took it upon themselves to help those affected.
"Our community came together and wanted to help. A special mention to Ian Davies (Lugsy) who coordinated and ran the clean up team," Hannah continues.
"He also supported us with the management of Flood Fund Distribution. It has been a terrible time for those affected and will be a very challenging year for them but I know they have felt comforted by the community support."
The fund recipients have been expressing their gratitude.
Craig James' mother's house was inundated by over a foot of floodwater.
"She's very emotional, but the local support given by the sully residents and well wishers from further a field has been amazing, she's felt very humbled and comforted," says Craig.
Hannah's inbox is full of thankful messages.
"Thank you so much for the support from you and the team," reads one. "Hugely appreciated. You have no idea how much this will help us. Thank you."
"[We] are extremely grateful to all involved," says another. "A lovely ray of light to get through the dark days."
Visit the JustGiving page to donate before it closes on 20 January.
