Wales's top tennis players will be descending on Penarth as the town's two clubs host the Cymru National Tennis and Padel Championships 2024.

Both clubs will be open to the public for spectators to enjoy tennis from juniors through to veterans.

Both will be serving lunches, teas coffees and a licensed bar each day.

The competition starts on Sunday 25 August and runs until Saturday 31.

"It's an amazing opportunity to see some really top-quality tennis right here in Penarth," said Penarth LTC's Ben Coates.

"We hope people take the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy a coffee or a drink and enjoy the clubs' lovely surroundings while watching some exciting matches."

Both clubs are laying on hospitality so spectators can enjoy tea, coffee and snacks  while watching the games. The town centre Penarth Lawn Tennis Club will also be offering evening meals on most days as well.

"It's a real privilege to be hosting the championships for a third time," said Mr Coates.

"We hope people in Penarth take this opportunity to enjoy some top-class sport".

Windsor's Rob Wedlake said: "We're delighted to be co-hosting the Cymru Tennis and Padel Championships again in partnership with Tennis Wales and Penarth LTC. It represents an opportunity to showcase all that Penarth has to offer alongside some fantastic tennis where we have several home-grown players in contention again"
