Sully Sports FC Under 11s team has received a new playing kit thanks to new a sponsor.

The club has been a fixture for children in the community for almost 50 years and runs teams from under six to youth level.

At Under 11, Sully currently runs three teams made up of a squad containing 32 children playing against teams from around the Vale of Glamorgan.

Grassroots and community football relies on the continued support of sponsors to provide playing kit, as well as the involvement of volunteer coaches who give up their free time to support the players.

Paul Jones, Head Coach of Sully Sports Under 11s, said:

"All of the players, coaches and parents at Sully Sports are extremely grateful for the sponsorship and we would like to thank them for their generosity. "Later this year, the children will be making the transition to competitive football, so it's fantastic that they will be looking the part for weekly matches against our neighbouring clubs across the Vale of Glamorgan." Based locally in Barry, the club's new sponsor, Lakeside Signs, creates signage for large and small businesses in sectors such as retail, hospitality, entertainment, catering and care. Jackson Harris of Lakeside signs said: "I am delighted to be able to play a part in our local community. Personally, I am useless at football so to be able to support our local team is great as it's something that I have always wanted to do." Click here to find out more about Sully Sports FC.
