THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of England and Wales, with heavy winds and rain forecast from Wednesday.

Yellow warnings are issued when it is likely the weather will cause some low level impacts, including some disruption to travel.

The severity of the winds coming to the UK from the west after an Atlantic storm is such that the service is predicting there will be problems for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.

Some short term loss of power and other services is possible says the Met Office.
