Wilderness Family author returns to Penarth

Award-winning independent bookshop Griffin Books in Penarth are set to host Christian Lewis, author of Finding Hildasay and Hildasay to Home, for a second time this Easter Monday.

In 2017 Chris set himself the challenge of walking the entire UK coastline, starting and ending on Llangennith Beach on the Gower Peninsula, after hitting rock bottom in his personal life. Little did he know just how long it would take him to cross the finish line, especially with a three-month stay on the abandoned island Hildasay during the first COVID lockdown, and that the encounters lying ahead would change his life forever, including meeting his now partner Kate.

Now in 2024, the new book Hildasay to Home follows Chris as he finally crosses the finish line back in Swansea with almost half a million pounds raised. He reflects beautifully on all that he's learned and the family he's found for himself along the way.

Join him at Griffin Books on MONDAY 1 APRIL, 2.00 – 4.00 pm where he will be signing copies of Hildasay to Home.

This event is ticketed due to time constraints and booking is recommended. Visit: griffinbooksevents.co.uk to book your place now.
