There's a wide variety of music on offer in the Penarth area over the coming weekend and we are pleased to highlight some of them in this feature.

If you have a local event happening soon, you can 'nub it' for FREE in the What's On section of our website!

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top event picks - if you have an event happening in the town you want our readers to see, just click the black 'Nub It' button here to add your event for free.

On Friday (17 February) at the Ex Servicemena's club the Goodgees will be smashing out some classic Rock.

On Saturday evening Penarth will play host to the musical sounds of Africa. Join the duo Korason in St Augustine's Church for a night where Welsh and West African traditions combine.

The event will hosted by Welsh folk duo S?yn.

And at  All Saints Church on Victoria Square an evening of piano music by Handel, Haydn, Fauré, Debussy, Ginastera, Respighi and Scriabin will be performed by Giordano Ferla.

It's likely to be a little noiser at the Ex Serviceman's Club later in the evening when Thin Ice bring the music of Pink Floyd to town.

Away from the music, there will be some summer fruit growing tips at the Kymin and there will be a Cake and Book Sale, in the library between 10am and 1pm
