Music, history and fundraising feature among events this weekend that we are pleased to focus on in our regular article about What's On in Penarth.

There will be a musical evening of note at Penarth Pavilion Pier tomorrow (Friday, 2 June).

Quartet Draig will be performing 'Beyond the Shore ' a concert of classical music inspired by vibrant landscapes and expansive horizons, for their second concert at Penarth Pavilion.

This event is part of the RWCMD-in-Residence programme, a series of creative projects from Royal Welsh College musicians and recent graduates, presented in partnership with Penarth Pavilion.

Saturday sees the start of a weeklong series of events as part of the Churchs Unlocked Sestival.

And to mark Volunteer week RNLI Penarth Lifeboat Station have a coffee morning fundraiser on Saturday 3rd June from 10.30am at penarth Yacht Club.
