Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1. Laughing Yoga Class

Laughter Yoga is a unique form of exercise that involves unconditional laughter, breathing and youthful playfulness. It produces significant positive effects on health, happiness levels, cognitive function and mood as well as being an opportunity to laugh at whatever challenges life may send your way in a supportive, caring environment.

Millions of people in more than 20,000+ Laughter Yoga Clubs around the world do Laughter Yoga every week and now we have one in Penarth!

If you, or someone you know, could do with a little bit of laughter and happiness in your life with like-minded people, please come along.

You DON"T need to bring a yoga mat as there is no actual 'yoga' involved in the traditional sense, but you DO need to bring your laughing gear!!

Penarth Laughter Yoga classes run every Friday at 11.30am for 1 hour at All Saints Church LESSER Community Hall (that's the small one), Victoria Square, Penarth.

Pre-booking (and pre-payment) is essential via www.getfitgoodfit.co.uk and it costs just £2 per person.

Suitable for any age from 14+, though minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

3. Dawnstalkers World Mental Health Day dip

This Sunday, the 10th of October marks World Mental Health Day. â

On this occasion, The Jacob Abraham Foundation and RNLI Penarth Lifeboat Station join our daily morning dip again to celebrate nature and what the sea did for so many of us: it was there when we needed to reconnect with ourselves, it helped us to refocus on what is important in life: Mindfulness. Calmness. Mental Health.â

â

The Seafront is our Safeplace, we share it with like-minded people every morning, very close friendships have begun there before sunrise and people have found a place to just be. We are so grateful to have been able to connect so many people with each other and give them a reason to get out of bed first thing in the morning, being excited to leave the house and do something that they love before they start working. â

â

This Community has grown hugely with every member, everyone contributes so much to everyone else who is there. We are inspired and then we inspire others. They are inspired and inspire others. It's an amazing cycle. Thank you to everyone, you are all amazing. Let's raise awareness for one of the most important things that we have: our mental health.â
