St Augustine's Church, Penarth is putting on a display of wedding photos as part of its 'Churches Unlocked' Open Week 3-11 June. They are inviting anyone who got married there to send in a photo, or ask parents, family or friends to do so.

They would also like to know a little bit about the couple, such as their names, the date or year it was taken if known, what their occupations were, where they lived. Also how long were they/have they been married, did they have children etc. (but keep it short eg 5 lines of text.)

The display will be on show all week in St Augustine's Church. Rachel Elder, who is co-ordinating the display, said 'We hope we'll get a range of photos, from modern back to 50, 80 or even 100 years ago. We really look forward to seeing some of the lovely photos from weddings of times gone by, marking the special day of so many people.'

Photos need to be submitted by 10th May for inclusion. High quality copies (not originals) can be sent in or emailed so that they can be printed out. Please email [email protected] or phone 029 22805663 and speak to Rachel for more information.

If you send in photos, you must be the owner of the photo or have the owner's permission to send it in. You also should agree to the images to be used in publicity or social media pieces. Photos cannot be returned, but they may be collected afterwards if previously arranged.

The Churches Unlocked week at St Augustine's will feature a range of events and exhibitions, including open days, talks, and concerts. More information will be available at www.parishofpenarthandllandough.co.uk
