The Ty Hafan volunteer gardeners at Ty Hafan Children's Hospital Sully have received a level 4 award in the neighbourhood category of the Wales in Bloom awards.

The gardeners started working on the gardens in 2020. They were very overgrown as they had been neglected for some time and there is no employed gardener on site.

Since then the gardeners have been working hard to restore them to their former glory for the enjoyment of the families who use the hospice service and they are delighted to have received acknowledgement of their hard work

The annual award ceremony was held at Talgarth Town Hall on Friday (9 September).

Wales in Bloom is the regional element of the National Britain in Bloom Competition supported by the Royal Horticultural Society. And a level 4 award is up to 85/100 points, so just one step away from their top award level.
