Visiting at University Hospital Llandough has resumed as of yesterday following a COVID outbreak.

Restrictions were put in place recently after routine swab testing found a rise in positive cases on three wards.

Cardiff and Vale health board said people with loved ones in their care would be allowed to visit the hospital from 9am on Monday 1st November.

But visiting will remain restricted in some areas due to an ongoing cluster of cases.

''We would like to remind people that this remains an extremely challenging time for the health board as community prevalence continues to rise," said a CAVUHB spokesperson.

''We know that it is very difficult not being able to frequently see loved ones when in our care, but would kindly request that visits are kept to a minimum to help protect, our patients, their families and our staff.'

''Patients and family members impacted are informed and regularly updated.''

Visits can be requested by contacting the health board.

There have also been changes to the hospital's Park and Ride scheme, which remains free to staff, patients and visitors.
