Residents are protesting about the decline in the play area at Seel Park, Dinas Powys.

Equipment has been removed, there is a need for new swings and slides and there is a lack of litter bins.

Now there are demands that the Vale Council take immediate steps to upgrade facilities at the park.

Chris Franks and Keith Hatton, both community councillors, addressed a crowd of residents unhappy about the conditions. They explained that a concerted effort was needed to oblige the Vale Council to invest in the park and to renew the equipment.

Residents were aware that many parks had been upgraded in Penarth and Barry. Meanwhile there were fewer facilities at Seel Park.
