Old Penarthians RFC faced damage to one of the club's walls after a vehicle collided with it on Monday night. Two 21-year-old men have been arrested in relation to the incident.

Residents described a loud crash at the time when the crash took place.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: ''Police in Penarth responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on St Marks Road at around 10.20 pm on Monday, June 15.

''A 21-year-old man from Barry has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without insurance and other than in accordance with a licence.

''He was bailed to appear at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on December 24th.

''A second man, a 21-year-old from Penarth, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was also reported for summons for other motoring offences.''
