The Crepe Escape in Penarth has been busy preparing and distributing treat boxes to key workers and NHS staff after a successful round of fundraising.

They packaged up a range of sweet treats and delivered them to Llandough hospital and Royal Glamorgan staff.

Sandwiches, scones and sausage rolls were just a few of the items boxed up and donated to the coronavirus cause by the local cafe.

After they got back from their deliveries they realised they had a few bits and pieces leftover and so they wrapped them up and gave them to the refuse workers as they collected rubbish.

Alison Jones, the owner of the cafe, said: ''Emotional day with a few deliveries. Llandough and Royal Glamorgan and had a few left so our wonderful refuse collectors got some too. Going to preparing more for next week.''

If you would like to find out more about their project you can read out the article here and donate to the cause on their Go Fund Me page.
