Penarth has roadworks taking place at access points on either end of the town, creating problems during busy times for commuters.

The improvement scheme to the Windsor Road/ Plassey Street roundabout has meant that Traffic management has been in place for the duration of the construction works.

The roadworks will be in place until the end of February 2020 but traffic control only operates from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm each day.

This has caused significant congestion along the roads.

Now, roadworks that have started on Wordsworth avenue and Redlands Road which are adding to these issues.

A road closure will be in place for resurfacing works to be undertaken, the road to be closed is Wordsworth Avenue, Penarth from junction Cornerswell Place to junction Redlands Road from 13/01/20 to 17/01/20 from 6 pm to 11:59 pm.

Traffic management is also in place on Redlands road close to the road closure.

These two areas are key access points for Penarth and with over 16,000 people commuting in and out of the town this can prove to be quite disruptive.
