The Old Custom House in Penarth has issued a clear reminder that their car park is for customers only and is not to be used whilst the barrage pay and display facilities are out of use.

Cardiff Bay Barrage's parking has been unavailable to discourage those who are not local visiting the area during the coronavirus lockdown.

They said: ''Our car park is private property and for the use of our customers only. Not for the general public to park for a pit stop or to walk across the barrage.

''Our car park is monitored 24/7 by New Generation Parking Company.

"Fines will be issued for anyone who is not a customer.

"The car park is only open for customers during our opening hours and not out of opening hours."

The opening hours are Monday - Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm & Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The popular local restaurant has recently reopened for business with a takeaway food and drink truck as well as a fresh meat and fish deli.
