Penarth attracts visitors from all over the UK, due to its beautiful views, pier, and fantastic eateries.

While the various lockdowns throughout the pandemic have halted visits, people are still interested in what Penarth has to offer.

Tesco comes in as one of the top places searched for and remained a popular search term throughout the year.

The popular restaurant received its highest number of search terms between June and August as restrictions started to ease.

Penarth Beach

As the weather began to get hotter, search terms for Penarth Beach – a popular spot for locals and tourists all year round – reached their peak in July.

Ego at The Schooner

As Eat Out to Help Out began, the popular restaurant received most of its searches in late August and September.

Post Office

Searches for Penarth Post Office have been regular throughout the pandemic but reached their peak just after the first lockdown was announced.

Penarth Leisure Centre

The leisure centre is still shut under current government guidelines, but people have been Googling it throughout the pandemic, particularly after the first lockdown began.

The restaurant and cocktail bar was a popular search term throughout the pandemic, reaching its peak during Eat Out to Help Out season.

The marina has been well-Googled throughout the pandemic, reaching its peak in August.

The popular Queen's Road pub was a particularly popular search term between August and early December as restrictions eased and people were able to eat out.
