Coffi Co has officially opened in Penarth today after a few months of renovations and will be operating as a click and collect service during the coronavirus lockdown.
The cafe, which took over from the Fig Tree Restaraunt, is situated on the Esplanade and has taken hold as one of the many new businesses available at Penarth's coast.
You can take a look at the newly renovated space in the gallery above.
Unfortunately, customers won't be unable to see this in all its Coffi Co glory due to the current restrictions but it can be admired from a socially distanced manner.
The Click and Collect Service require customers to:
- Download the Coffi Co App
- Register your details
- Add a payment method
- Order outside the store and wait for your name to be called (no orders will be taken inside the shop).
They have asked customers to respect the social distancing regulations and have lots of systems in place to ensure this is handled in the correct way by customers and staff.
Today you can order coffee and cakes but from Friday the full menu will be available to Penarthians and delivery services will also startup.
One of the spectacles of the new shop can be found in the paintings by local artist Malcolm Murphy. In a Banksy style, the pieces have been created on the walls of the store.
Although the circumstances are not exactly what the new owners had hoped they would be opening shop in they are excited to be a part of the Penarth community.
The new site will be open every day from 9 am.
